Laia is a slave.Elias is a solider. Neither has free will.

Laia belongs to the scholars community who are considered as the slave class under the Rule of the Martial Empire.She and her family are barely surviving when even that is taken away from her.One night the masks arrive and take her brother charging him for treason.
Laia who has been cowardly all her life now has to make a stand to free her only family,her brother.Will she be able to tell friends from foes?Will she have enough courage to do this?And lastly will she succeeded? 

Elias has led a life he didn't want to lead.A life of brutality.He plans to desert but the life of a deserter is no better.Always hunted for the rest of his life and executed when discovered.But Elias will rather be hunted than being the hunter.But will his plans play out as he wants them to?

Both Laia and Elias have decisions to make that will affect not only their lives but others too.....

MY EXPERIENCE......
This world is totally new and I have not read any similar world builts in fantasy lately.Fictional characters can be inspirational too.Sabaa Tahir has proven that.This book is one of a kind. Sabaa Tahir is definitely one of my favorite authors.

Believe me you want to read this book.

All the research for a cure has been futile as no cure has been found.This world is filled with terror from evil forces of the moon yep citizens of the moon with special ability to manipulate one's brain and in these difficult times all the national leaders will do anything o stop an attack from the moon(lunar people)........

Cress has successfully managed to warn Cinder of the nasty plans of Queen Levana  without detection and helped them from being detected in space.Now they are coming to free her.Freedom is a concept Cress is yet to experience.Cress alas was not among the lucky shells who had escaped to Earth avoiding the clutches of evil Levana. She has being stuck/imprisoned on a satellite for most of her life,thus being socially awkward.

Though she has developed a crush on one of the rescue team members as a result of crazy online stalking.However the rescue mission doesn't goes as planned as due to the course of events the members of team good  get separated .

Together they are strong but alone and broken will they be able to survive the chase when everyone both on Earth and Luna are gunning for their asses?

 MY EXPERIENCE.........
This book kept me constantly on edge as to what was going to happen next.I couldn't just put it down.It was thrilling and awesome.....

Nightmares about the events with her mother are plaguing Alexandria Andros.Nothing has been the same since then,even her best friend Caleb is acting weird.Alex could not have been more of a weirdo if she tried , being tagged   all over her body.

Also being head over heals for a 'pure' only adds to the load of horse sh*t.Then there is this ever present fearsome guy Seth with whom she shares a special connection with and helps soothing her nightmares by sneaking into her room at night.This is doing wonders for her non existent relationship with Aiden.

It seems that all that wasn't enough for there is a threat swaying above Alex's head.The threat of servitude.Life alas for a half blood is not easy.......

Cinder has become the most wanted fugitive of New Commonwealth.She must escape the clutches of the evil Lunar Queen,Queen Levana.Not only has she got to escape but also she has to evade all the Earthen forces that are hell bent on catching her.Also while in hiding she has to stop Queen Levana's plans to capture and control earth.

Meanwhile Scarlet who is half way across the world living in a small town in France on a farm with her Grandma doesn't think Cinder to be a fugitive or that she has done anything wrong.But when she discovers that her grandma to be missing she is determined to find her even if the authorities has given up.Could her disappearance be related to the events happening in New Commonwealth?Or to the sudden appearance of a creepy stalker yet hand some guy?

MY EXPERIENCE...

O.M.G.This world is so fascinating.Marissa Meyer is one of the queens of retellings. This book is AMAZING.

Shahrzad's friend Shiva fell victim to the monstrous Caliph of Khorasan,the eighteen year old King of Kings.The boy-king is working on the policy one day one bride.Every evening he takes a new bride and every morning she is found with a silk thread around her neck.Shiva was amongst them.But Shahrzad is not amongst those who are going to stand on the sidelines and continue letting this happen.She volunteers to be his bride in order to take her revenge.

But for her to complete her mission she has to survive first.She tells a story every night and stops at the climax so that the boy-king will not have her executed in order to listen to the end.This plan seems to work.But as the days pass Shahrzad realizes that the Caliph is not the monster she believed him to be.

Will she remain loyal to her loved ones and take revenge and ignore her growing love for the supposed monster?

MY EXPERIENCE......

The start of the story is a bit confusing with so many characters and multiple point of views but as the story moves forward i got a better understanding.The story is really captivating and i couldn't just put it down.

"Hematoi" or pure bloods are result of unions between demigods and mortals and their linage can be traced back to Greek Gods.Yep Greek Gods are for real.The pure bloods wield powers over elements.The union between a 'hematoi' and a mortal gives rise to a new race of half bloods who are incredibly fast and apt for combat but do not wield control over the elements and thus are considered inferior.As a result the society has treated them unfairly and has left them two options:to fight and become Sentinels or take "the Elixir " and become servants to the pure bloods.

Alexanderia Andros,a half blood, ran away with her mom three years ago....running away from "The Covenant" a society of pures.but she didn't know why?Her mother never told her.But three years later a series of events forces her to return to the covenant.Being back sucks as much as it is good.Alex must train extensively to pure her worth otherwise she will be turned into a servant for the pures.Also as she unravels true reason behind her mother taking her away from the covenant her world turns upside down. 

Will Alex be able to prove her worth or will she face slavery at the hands of the elixir?

MY EXPERIENCE....

At first i couldn't just separate this story line from that of Vampire Academy's but as the story progressed i could see it was something of its own.It was amazing.......

 16 year old Aurora Darlington is a orphan.Her foster parents death has left her trapped with a family that dislikes her giving her almost cinderella treatment.School's no better with poor grades and bullies and she the target.But her old life starts to look better compared to being kidnapped and dragged through a portal.

Avaloina is a dangerous land filled with magical creatures who are bad and good.Her survival depends on how fast Aurora distinguishes the bad from the good.Also one of the seven kingdoms is ruled by a evil queen who do any thing and kill anyone who stands in the path of  her ruling all the seven kingdoms.

As Aurora journeys through the kingdoms she learns to defend herself from her pursuers and unravels shocking things that will change everything.......

My Experience......
  It was fun reading this book and it was totally engrossing.Though in the begining the things were a bit slow towards the middle things really started happening i counldn't just put this book down.

This is a book for every one!!GO READ  IT!!!

Celaena is completely shattered from the inside.The flame inside her has died out.She doesn't care about the world anymore but this is now how it all ends.Celaena must rediscover the lost princess inside her,her power and her willingness to sacrifice everything to save her loved ones. 

She travels to Wendlyn to her Aunt The Immortal Queen,Maeve to find answers in order to defeat the King of Adarlan.But this task is not going to be easy.

Meanwhile Chaol's life has turned upside down.The woman he loves is a sworn enemy to his friend Prince Dorian,she is Aelin Galanthynius the rightful heir to the throne of Terrasen and she will not stop until she avenges what happened ten years ago.Also she is the reason of the reason of the rift between him and his best friend.In his struggle between his loyalty to the cruel King and what is right for everyone,which side will Chaol find himself on?

Prince Dorian is the only one in the realm with no magic to have magic Deadly magic.Uncontrollable Magic.Will he be able to conceal it?

A lot is happening in this dangerous world where one wrong move could possibly lead to your death.

This book blew me away as each and every book by Sarah J Maas has so far.She has created a world so fascinating that you couldn't help but get sucked right in.It was BRILLIANT....

The Queen of The Tearling by Erika Johansen is a fantasy novel which supposedly takes place in the future.It is an amazing novel and is unlike any other fantasy  novel i've read.

A LITTLE ABOUT THIS WORLD......

This story takes place after the "crossing" when a couple of ships leave behind the corrupted world as we know it and venture into lands yet to be explored by men.Their aim is to create a society where everyone is equal and no one is rich or poor."Crossing" refers to the time when these people left the corrupted world behind to create a better world.

Now you might be wondering why i'm telling you this?Well its because their are a lot of unexplained references to the "crossing" in this book which is cleared in book 2.This is for better understanding.

Also these people have failed to achieve their aim....

MY REVIEW.......

Kelsea Raleigh is to become the Queen of the Tearling, though not by choice.All Kelsea ever wanted was to lead a life of a normal person.But alas we don't always get what we want.

Kelsea was raised in a cottage isolated from the world where she was trained to be a Queen by two loyal servants to the crown after the death of her mother,Queen Elyssa.Now that she has turned 19 its time for her to ascend the throne.

But this is not going to be easy.She has to evade assassin's that are pursuing her.And the threats don't end here.Kelsea also has to stop a great unjustic that is being done to her people by the dangerous sorceress,the Mort Queen. Moreover she has to earn the trust of her guards and her people.

This is a breath-taking journey following a young determined women who pursues a broken and dangerous legacy.........

 

MY EXPERIENCE......

It took me some time to get into this book but once things became fast paced i couldn't just put this book down.It is unlike any other book i've read and the concept is new and that's saying something cause fantasy genre is limited to some extent on the basis of concept.It was AMAZING and is one of my best reads in 2016.I highly recommend you pick it up.Though this book is not for those who just started reading i will suggest you read it if you have been reading books/fantasy books for some time otherwise you won't be able to enjoy it to the full extent.

This news has devastated me in a way that i can not express in words.And not just me but many more.....

Alan Rickman played Professor Snape in Harry potter movies and that's how i recognize him .Potterheads all across the world and his fans will "always" remember him and he will live forever in our memories.

The fact that he will never grow to be 80 yrs old and get to repeat his quote shatters me even more.

Their are many un said words and in this fury of emotions i don't think i will be able to express them in the right manner.

Equally breath taking,Crown of Midnight,takes off after the glorious end of Throne of Glass.

My Review(spoiler_free).....

Celaena Sardothien is the King's Champion and one of his most deadly weapon.The King of Adarlan holds a tight leash on her and threatens to kill all her beloved if she fails to complete his tasks.

But Celaena finds it difficult to kill innocents on the King's orders whom she hates the most.With every fake death she is putting her beloved on more risk.While doing the dirty work for his royal highness she discovers a rebel force rising against the King's unfair rule which leads to the discovery of many more shocking things.But Celaena has to be careful.One false move and everything will fall apart.

While we saw Celaena turn down Dorian in the last book she doesn't seem to be having trouble falling for the Caption.But a relationship between the Caption of Guard and a Assassin is as unimagineable as the one between A Prince and a Assassin.........

CELAENA'S MANTRA TO SAVE HER NECK........

 Can you imagine if cinderella was a assassin and she was running away from the ball after trying to kill the prince?Well i can't but apparently Sarah J Maas could.Throne of Glass  is a retelling of Cinderella if she were an assassin.

Celaena Sardothien is Adarlan's most feared assassin.She has been locked up in the salt mines of Endovier for her crimes for a year and has miraculously survived but she will not stay alive for much longer unless she gets out.An opportunity to escape comes her way when she is picked by Prince Dorian to be his contender in the competition to become the King's Champion.She accepts the Crowned Prince's terms in exchange of her freedom. 

When she reaches the palace she finds herself in midst of a very dangerous political game.She has to hide her identity while training brutally to competite with other contenders.But when the contenders begin to get brutally murdered by a mysterious creature of the castle the game changes. Celaena has to unmask the creature before she gets targeted by it.But the castle does not only harbor creatures but also other dangerous things........

Also the Crowned Prince begins to show interest in Celaena but his friend and Caption Chaol seems to understand her better.....
